[News] After School Lizzy Injures Ankle, Cancels All Activities to Recover

After School's Lizzy suffered an ankle injury and has canceled all scheduled activities to regain mobility as soon as possible before the official comeback stage of After School on June 13.

Lizzy's management company stated, "Lizzy recently had a severe sprain of her ankle during practice. She is not going to participate in any media activities until she recovers from the injury. We will monitor her progress and do our best to get her back in good health as fast as we can."

Via Twitter, Lizzy shared about her condition, commenting, "I was getting really happy about my legs getting skinnier but now I am sad I can't do anything because of my legs. My right leg is thinning so much from disuse. It is fine if one gets thicker than the other, I just want to heal fast. I need to go on stage."

After School is set to stage their official comeback performance on June 13. Teasers for their new title song are expected to be released early next week.

[News] After School's Lizzy to Appear in Japanese Drama

After School's Lizzy will make a cameo appearance in Japanese drama "Evil Spirit Ward" which will air on TBS in July. Lizzy will play a Korean exchange student who gets hospitalized to the troublesome hospital.

Lizzy, who is making her debut in a Japanese drama, has worked in a sitcom and a drama in Korea. Currently, even though she is still an active member of the girl idol group After School, Lizzy is pursuing an acting career.

Earlier in Japan, KARA's Goo Hara and INFINITE's L have appeared in Japanese dramas and had promising debuts. Goo Hara came out in Tokyo TV's "Urakara" and recorded a 4.2% TV ratings on its premiere.

With moderate successes in precedent, it remains to be seen whether Lizzy will be able to continue on the streak of K-pop artists in Japanese dramas.

[News] After School Lizzy's Past Revealed, Humble Yet 'Good Beginnings'

 Recently After School member Lizzy's past is gaining a lot of attention. The online community revealed some evidences posted exposing what fans didn't know about Lizzy's past. Several pictures are circulating online bulletins, taken from the year 2009 when Lizzy was 17 years of age.  

At the time,  she was chosen as a back-up dancer for Son Dam Bi's special performance at a festival covered by MBC "Gayo Daejun". Lizzy is known for having a well-loved personality because of her sweetness and her country dialect or satoori.

Her past reveals that Lizzy had a good start and training.  Therefore, there should be no big deal about being a back-up dancer previously, especially now that After School already made their mark in the music scene.  Lizzy's experiences as a back-up dancer is useful to the group.

Lizzy's fans commented that they can't imagine what she went through before becoming an idol. 
 Some gave complimenting words, such as "She's cute" "She looks better that I thought".  Looks like Lizzy definitely earned greater respect when her past hardships became public knowledge. 

 After School has been the talk of the town since they debuted in 2009. They are under Pledis Entertainment. Their concept in music is inspired by U.S sensation Pussycat Dolls. Although the management reveals that there would come a point that someone will come and go, natural 'graduations' and 'admissions' are expected because they foster the members' careers. After School members are currently composed of: Jungah, Uee, Jooyeon, Raina, Nana, E-Young, Kaeun and Lizzy.

After School’s Lizzy recently suprised everyone by her remarks, saying that her popularity has declined over the past year.

On the May 12th episode of SBS’s ‘1000 Song Challenge’, Lizzy appeared as guest and revealed that her popularity just wasn’t what it once was. During the show, MC Lee Hwi Jae said, “It seems like your beauty is reaching its peak,” to which she replied, “That’s not true. I’m done now.”

She explained, “I got many calls from guys until last year, but now, none of them call me anymore.” Lizzy then added that she never regretted it saying, “It’s ok. Now, my work is more important than falling in love.”
