[News] T-ara’s youngest member, Areum, will be leaving the team

According to a July 10 announcement by T-ara’s agency, Core Entertainment, the youngest member of the group, Areum, will be leaving and will most likely reappear at a later date as a solo artist. A new member, known as Dani, will join the group. The agency announced that “Areum has always wanted to pursue hip-hop music and has made it clear that she would like to show off a new side of herself by going solo. The other members of the group respect her decision. “In the future, Areum will be involved in a variety of activities ranging from singing to acting.”

Areum also announced her departure and plans to go solo thorough T-ara’s official fan board, Queens.

The group will therefore be going back to their original six-member composition, comprising Hyomin, Boram, Eun Jung, Ji Yeon, Qri, and So Yeon. The new member, Dani, will join Eun Jung, Ji Yeon, and Hyomin for T-ara N4 activities both in the U.S. and in Korea. The agency says that Dani grew up in the U.S, and speaks fluent English.

The remaining six members of T-ara will leave for Japan on July 11 for a concert at the Budokan.

 Girl group T-ara’s unit T-ara N4 (Areum, Hyo Min, Eun Jung, and Ji Yeon) have advanced their date of departure for the United States. According to a report by their agency, Core Contents Media, T-ara N4 was supposed to leave the country in order to appear as surprise guests at a concert by the well-known American R&B singer Chris Brown, to be held in Las Vegas. However, the group was invited to a concert by another renowned singer, Wiz Khalifa, which required them to move up the departure date.

The agency says, “T-ara N4 advanced the departure date on the request of American hip-hop singer Wiz Khalifa. We urgently rearranged their schedule of performances in Korea so that they could depart for United Stages in time to be guests at Wiz Kahlifa’s concert, which is to be held on May 24. Wiz Khalifa will be featured as a rapper in T-ara N4’s new song “Jeon Won Diary,” and they are to perform together at his concert.”

Wiz Khalifa is known for having been featured as a rapper in pop band Maroon 5’s hit song “Payphone” and T-Pain’s “Five O’Clock,” and for the duet “Young, Wild & Free” sung with Snoop dogg. He also won a BET award and an American Music Award in 2011, and an Billboard Award last year.

At 3:15 p.m. on May 23, T-ara N4 will depart for Los Angeles, and will perform “Jeon Won Diary” together with Wiz Khalifa at his concert on May 24 and will also appear at Chris Brown’s concert on May 26.

It seems like K-pop stars are snatching more and more attention from the West!

Although it might be unexpected, Dani has apparently known Chris Brown since she was in elementary school. Knowing that she is currently in the States, the Hollywood star invited Dani to his performance for a radio station concert in San Jose, California, which led to an opportunity for T-ara‘s newly-debuted subunit, T-ara N4.

After the concert, Dani met up with Brown and revealed that she’s training as a member of T-ara, which caught Brown’s interest as he has been looking more into K-pop lately thanks to worldwide sensation Psy. After being showed T-ara N4′s music video for “Countryside Life“, Brown expressed his interest to collaborate with the girls and invited them to his music video filming on the 11th.

However, due to the subunit’s performance at ‘Dream Concert‘ in Korea, they will be heading to Los Angeles on the 12th.

A representative of CCM Entertainment revealed that T-ara N4 will be meeting up with Brown after his return to LA to discuss topics related to music. There is currently no definite plan whether the collaboration will be done or not.

[News] T-ara N4 performs for the first time on M Countdown

On May 2 at 6:00 p.m., M Countdown has held at the CJ E&M Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, and T-ara N4 revealed its first song, “Countryside,” on the program. Previously, the group had not performed the new song for an audience. It was played only on radio.

Actors Kim Soo Mi and Choi Bul Am of the TV zeries Countryside Life  introduced the song, and the members of T-ara N4 did a comic skit in which they “weeded a field.”

After the amusing introduction, T-ara N4 gave a charismatic performance in splendid costumes accessorized with gold. The song has witty lyrics and an exciting melody, and the choreography is powerful, featuring the group’s sexy charm.

T-ara N4 released the new song and a music video of it on the afternoon of April 29. The song, composed by Double Kicks, is an electronic hip-hop dance song combined with Korean music.

Other singers who appeared on the program are Shinee, Roy Kim, 4minute, Secret, Seo In Guk, Dickpunks, and Hong Dae Kwang.

 T-ara, the well-known group of seven girls, has formed a subunit, T-ara N4, and in advance of its debut, on April 15 the unit revealed a jacket image that contains individual pictures of the four members of the subunit.

Judging by the poster and the pictures on it, T-ara N4 has broken away from the overall group’s style and projected a new look, with splendid accessories and strong costumes. The revealed image shows that four members have gotten a make-over. T-ara N4 released a teaser clip of its first song, “Countryside Life,” on Gom TV and YouTube on the afternoon of the same day the jacket picture was shown, and the song is to scheduled for release on May 1.

T-ara made their debut in summer 2009 and has gained a lot of popularity through various hit songs, including “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” “Roly Poly,” and “Lovey-Dovey.” It is the first time that the group has made a special unit in Korea. T-ara N4’s new dance song is seasoned with funky style. “Countryside Life” was written by popular composer Idanyeopchagi.

On April 7, T-ara (Bo Ram, Ji Yeon, Hyo Min, Eun Jung, Cu Ri, So Yeon, and A-Reom), already in the fourth year since their debut, formed a subunit and released an official poster for it. The subunit (composed of Eun Jung, Hyo Min, Ji Yeon, and A Reom) will release a new song, “Countryside Diary,” on May 1. T-ara has gained popularity with the songs “Bo Peep Bo Peep,” “Roly Poly,” and “Lovey Dovey.”

In the poster, released by their agency, Core Entertainment, on April 10, Ji Yeon is wearing strong make-up and a costume with fancy accessories, giving a somewhat different image from what the group been shown previously. This arouses curiosity about how they will come off with their fans.
Seeing the date “Friday, April 12” in the poster, people are anticipating that the subunit is planning something special for that day. People are guessing they will release the name of the subunit and a jacket image on that date. It is said the new song “Countryside Diary” is strong, funky dance music mixed with hip-hop, written by Double Sidekick.
