Singer Roy Kim revealed that he is suffering from the ‘Go Jun Hee disease’.

On July 13th, Roy Kim held his first solo concert at Yeonsei University. During the show, he said, “Everyone is getting ‘Go Jun Hee disease’ these days. Every girls with short hair style look like Go Jun Hee, and I think I’ve got the same disease as well.”

Roy Kim added, “I keep looking at girls with short hair style these days”, revealing that he has been attracted to women with short hair like Go Jun Hee.

Meanwhile, Roy Kim is currently promoting his first official album ‘Love Love Love’. On the other hand, Go Jun Hee is getting more attention with her appearance on MBC ‘We Got Married’.

Singer Roy Kim revealed that he hopes to be a role model to younger singers.

Today, Roy Kim held a press conference and a showcase for his first album "Love Love Love" in Seoul. He revealed that his role models are Lee Moon Sae and Kim Kwang Suk.

When he was asked about his role models, he said "I really like Lee Moon Sae and Kim Kwang Suk but I'll be trying my best until the day I become a role model to younger singers."

About his song, he said, "I tried to make my voice very soft and light for 'Bom Bom Bom' and tried to make my voice lower than it is. But this album contains the music and the voice that I really wanted so you will get to see what type of music I love to do."

On this day, he performed songs from his album with his guitar, including his title song "Love Love Love."

Roy Kim’s first official album ‘Love Love Love’ has been taking over the number one spots of several music charts.

On June 25, Roy Kim released his first official album ‘Love Love Love’ and the title song of the same name immediately took over the no.1 spot on various online music charts including MelOn, Mnet, Olle Music, Bugs, Naver Music, Daum Music, Soribada and more.

In addition, other tracks in the album such as “Listen To This Song”, “I Love You”, “Grandfather and Camera”, “I Don’t Know”, “Just Follow Me” and “12 o’clock” are also doing fairly well on the chart.

Meanwhile, Roy Kim will be having his first comeback performance during June 27th broadcast of Mnet’s ‘M! Countdown’.

[News] Roy Kim to hold first concert tour across Korea

Superstar K4’s winner Roy Kim, who recently made his official debut with “Spring Spring Spring”, will be holding his first solo concert tour in Korea this coming July.

Starting with a Busan concert in July 6, Roy Kim will perform in Seoul from July 13-14, Daejun on July 19 and Daegu on July 20, visiting a total of four cities. In the concerts, Roy Kim plans to perform some famous songs he sang in Superstar K4 and songs by senior musicians that he admires.

Roy Kim said, “Fans’ biggest love helped me to stand on a stage and sing. I thank each one of them so much and much like when I won my audition, it is something I am excited for and I feel good about.”

Recent hit songs have suggested a new model for success in today's industry.

Psy's "Gentleman" has brought male and female, young and old to their computer screens. Jo Yong Pil's "Bounce" succeeded in reaching out to both his fans from the 70s and 80s as well as the young people today. Roy Kim's "Spring, Spring, Spring" is a country song that seeks to unite listeners of all ages.

"Gentleman" was surprisingly popular among demographics outside of its target audience, which are the young in their 20s and 30s. According to collected data, about half of the total YouTube hits have come from mid-30s and older. The previous success of "Gangnam Style" has much to do with the unusual phenomenon, analysts say.
