[News] Kim Bum reveals his plans about enlistment

Actor has mentioned his plans regarding his military duties.

On August 5, Kim Bum and the cast of MBC’s ‘Goddess of Fire Jeongi’ took part in the press roundtable, where the actor was asked about his upcoming military services.

The actor revealed, “There are only few days left until the enlistment. It’s actually in my plan. I want to join somewhere that will really surprise people.”

Kim Bum revealed that he hopes to enlist as soon as possible, and promised to let people know when the time comes.

Meanwhile, Kim Bum is playing a warrior that guards the main female character in ‘Goddess of Fire Jeongi’ starring actress Moon Geun Young and actor Lee Sang Yoon.

In a series of stills released by MBC′s Goddess of Fire Jeongi, Kim Bum became a charismatic and cute archer.

In the stills, Kim Bum is shone shining in his characteristic smile, which energized staff through their shoot even in the hot weather.

The actor appears in Goddess of Fire Jeongi as personal guard Kim Tae Do.

[News] Stills for “Goddess of Fire” Give Glimpse of Kim Bum’s Mane of Glory

What is a sageuk without the “mane of glory”?

Stills from the gosa (shamanistic ritual in which food is offered to the spirits in order to avoid misfortune and bring good luck) for the upcoming MBC drama, “Goddess of Fire, Jung-yi” (hereafter “Goddess of Fire”)  have been released and in them, readers can view candid moments of the cast and staff in their drama outfits or casual wear.

“Goddess of Fire” is about the life of Yoo Jung, Joseon dynasty’s greatest and first female ceramic artist. Moon Geun Young plays the lead role of Yoo Jung. The drama also stars Lee Sang Yoon, Kim Bum, and Lee Kwang Soo.

Through the stills released, fans of Kim Bum will be able to catch a glimpse of the actor sporting a “mane of glory,” or the long sageuk hair that K-drama fans affectionately call. Kim Bum plays the role of Kim Tae Do who grew up with the main character Yoo Jung and harbors a “pure love” for her.

Kim Bum visited Hong Kong to attend a promotional event for a cosmetic brand.

He arrived at Chek Lap Kok airport on the afternoon of June 6. He's wearing a gray long-sleeved polo shirt over a white t-shirt. He was with his manager and others.

Kim Bum made his name after the success of Boys Qver Flowers and That Winter, The Wind Blows. Good news to his Chinese fans, he is also going to appear in the Chinese TV series V Love(微时代之恋 in Chinese).
