In his appearance on cable TV game show, "The Genius: The Rules Of The Game", INFINITE member Sunggyu made a remark that threw many netizens into a frenzy.

During the game, a conversation was had with Park Eun Ji and Lee Sang Min, wherein Sunggyu was gathered with them in a room to devise a plot to win the game.  In the conversation, Park Eun Ji was captured saying "It hasn't been easy for me now that I've lived 30 years."   To which, Sunggyu responds to the comment from Sang Min "Yes, women who are 30..." with "Right, she's wicked."  Sunggyu used the Korean word "yomul" which if used to describe women means being deceitful to lure men into doing what she pleases.

Fans got really worked up about these remarks from Sunggyu.  It got serious to the point that his management company, Woolim Entertainment, issued an official response in his defense, "Things are thrown out of proportion.  If you watch the show, Sunggyu didn't mean anything bad with his remark. It was said in the context of the conversation."

Is age 30+ really a wicked time for women in Korea?  What was the big deal over Sunggyu's remark?
