According to a few representatives, top idol groups will be attending the '2013 Inchon K-pop Tour Concert' being held on September 1.

The MCs of the concert will be Yuri and Tiffany of Girls' Generation, and total of 20 idol groups including 2AM, FTISLAND, miss A, ZE:A, Girl's Day, B2ST, Girls' Generation, Super Junior, SECRET, SISTAR, MBLAQ, KARA, and T-ara will be performing.

This tour concert, being held for the 5th time since 2009, is being used to promote the city to tourists from oversea countries.

Once again, SECRET's Jun Hyosung offered an apology regarding her controversial misuse of the word 'democratization' on the radio.

"I am not a member or in any way part of the controversial website that has tainted the meaning of the word 'democratization,'" she tweeted on May 20.

"I read a lot of online comments written about me in order to be in the know about what fans and critics think about me. I often came across statements like 'They democratize with Jun Hyosung' and that was my exposure to the misused word democratization," she added.

"At first, I was not exactly sure of the definition other than the dictionary meaning of it. I subconsciously came to associate the word with something along the lines of forcing my likes and preferences onto other people. I found out about the perverse use of the word on a certain infamous website only after I made the mistake on the radio," Jun Hyosung explained.

"Forgetting that I am a public figure whose words can weigh more heavily than those that are not in the media, I threw around a word without careful consideration and understanding. I am deeply sorry. I am sorry to the family members of all the innocent lives that were lost in order to achieve the democratic freedom we enjoy now."

[News] SECRET Jun Hyosung Controversy, 'Is It Just About Her or All of Us?'

SECRET's Jun Hyosung's controversy over the use of the word democratization has boiled over in just a span of two days. Her remark on radio, which went "We (SECRET) respect our unique identities. We do not democratize," lit up a forest fire in online circles over the misuse of the word democratize.

Democratization has recently been widely misused online as something along the lines of 'to round up and repress' or 'downward standardization.'

Jun Hyosung posted a public apology on her Twitter later that day for her misuse of the word.

She is currently a college student at In Ha University as a Theater and Film Studies major.

It is surely disappointing that a college student who has gone through 12 years of education does not know the proper meaning of democratization. But this is certainly not just about Jun Hyosung. This incident points to the deficiency that exists within the Korean educational system.

As is the case with many Asian countries, Korean educational system is solely focused on college admission. There have been improvements along the way, but it goes without saying that the present system still revolves around getting students into prestigious universities.

Tragically, Korean history has been excluded as one of the tested subjects in the college entrance exam. Students spend night and day to memorize mathematical formulas and chemical terminologies but Korean history has taken a back seat.

But as anyone who has entered the real world and started working can attest, what really matters in life for most people is not math or chemistry. It is social skills, common sense and basic knowledge.

Everyone who is criticizing Jun Hyosung for her shallow knowledge in Korean history needs to examine oneself. For example, there is a huge misuse of the word different and wrong. An alarmingly high number of the adult population say that something is 'wrong' when they actually mean 'different.'
Of course, Jun Hyosung is a public figure and deserves to be criticized. But before we cry foul and pick up a rock to throw at her, we must first look ourselves in the mirror. If everything we said and did were recorded and scrutinized, I doubt we will last.

In 2007, Big Bang's Top appeared at a major network TV show with a jacket that had the Japanese Rising Sung Flag, which stood for imperialism during times of its military expansion. Even in T-ARA N4's new music video, we had to see another Rising Sun Flag. Rather than pointing fingers at the individuals, we must look to the root of the problem in the Korean education system that has stopped giving the students a reason to learn their heritage.

[News] SECRET Jun Hyosung Reveals Why She Lost Weight

SECRET's Jun Hyosung shared what tipped the scale and pushed her to go on a diet.

On May 6, the members of SECRET will be on the episode of KBS talk show, "Hello." With the topic of weight loss, a woman in her twenties will share her personal struggle with her mother-in-law who constantly pushes her to get in better shape. "My slim mother-in-law always talks about my weight and hints at my need to exercise regularly and eat less. I am stressed out because of her and, in turn, I am gaining more weight," the helpless woman cried out.

Asked whether she was ever stressed about her weight, SECRET's Jun Hyosung replied, "I was shocked by online comments about my body. They called me short and thick. That is when I went on my diet. But sadly, people commented things like 'she looked better before she lost weight' after I successfully shed several pounds from my rigorous diet. I was pretty hurt by that."

Song Jieun also added, "Before we debuted, my personal trainer said I looked like a pig. In the next two weeks, I lost over 20 pounds."

This episode of 'Hello' will air on May 6.

The ladies of SECRET looked out onto the ocean that surrounds the island nation and admired its beauty. They even brought laughter as they said, “We want to drink without our label finding out and also eat food with high calories.”  The beautiful ladies also sent out an aegyo filled messaged to their C.E.O. saying, “Please send us on a vacation overseas.”

[Videos] SECRET Releases Behind-The-Scenes Clip For Hit Music Video 'Yoo Hoo'

Girl group SECRET released a behind-the-scenes video for their hit song "Yoo Hoo" on Monday.

In it, the four K-pop singers suffer through the fast-paced three-day film shoot on the island of Saipan.

The nearly eight-minute long clip portraying the making of the "Yoo Hoo" music video, shows SECRET staying upbeat as they dance about in the Saipan sun and get hustled from one place to the next.

When we shoot something [in a location like Saipan], it's all so picturesque," gushed SECRET's Jieun on the first day of shooting. "I like summer better than winter."

The tropical island paradise was formerly used in the popular South Korean dating reality TV show "Kko Kko Tour."

Once Jieun finished filming an early solo sequence, she expressed concern for her SECRET bandmates on what it would be like dancing outside when the sun was higher in the sky.

"They said the hottest part of the day in Saipan is when we're going to film the dance scenes," she said in Korean with a twinge of concern in her voice.

SECRET's Hana, also filming a solo sequence, felt concerned as well.

"It's okay now," she said. "But later, when we're jumping around, I think we'll be sweating."

Yet the girls of SECRET made it look easy, keeping their irresistible charm afloat even in the afternoon tropical sun.

But when the shooting was over on day one, you could tell they we exhausted.

"The first shoot is over. I'm so happy," Hyosung shouted after her first day on the "Yoo Hoo" music video set had ended.

But the look on her face soon changed from relief to pain, as she looked ahead to the next two days.
"Tomorrow is going to be hard," she groaned. "And the day after that is going to be even harder. Big problem. And I'm hungry, I want to eat."

But when the next day came, and even the day after that, Hyosung and the three other members of SECRET continued to deliver the irresistible performances that helped make "Yoo Hoo" a runaway success.

And when the three-day shoot wrapped with the video's campfire scene, the girls were ecstatic.

"It was so hard!" Hyosung said through coughs as the campfire smoldered around her and the wind blew smoke into her eyes. "But it was for the fans.

Jieun got a little emotional as she thanked the group's supporters at the end of the behind-the-scenes video.
"Three years and six months [feels like] not that long ago," she said. Thank you for being with us for that long time."

[News] Zinger of Secret decides to use her real name, Jung Hana

Ahead of the release of Secret’s new album, Zinger has said that she is going to perform using her real name, Jung Hana. On April 24, Secret’s agency reported, “In advance of the release of the group’s fourth EP, Letter From Secret on April 30, we released a teaser image of Zinger following Jun Hyo Sung’s and Song Ji Eun’s. From now on, Zinger, who has a strong appeal as Secret’s rapper, will use her real name, Jung Hana, and will show a new kind of appeal. After going through a lot last year, Jung Hana has been absorbed in working on her music while taking a rest from performing. She wrote the lyrics of three of the four songs on the EP. She has decided to use her real name for a new start with mature mental attitude.”

In the teaser image, Jung Hana looks bright and cheerful in a striped sleeveless shirt and white short pants and with her hair in two braids against a background of palm trees.

Secret’s agency has revealed four minutes of video footage titled “Secret Time in Singapore” on its official fan site and its official YouTube account. The video shows the members of the group looking as charming as ever.

Secret finished their Singapore concert on the 29th of March, and in the video we see them just being themselves at Sentosa Beach, on a yacht, and in the downtown area. They are dressed lightly and show off their healthy beauty without the stage makeup we’re so used to seeing them in.

A spokesperson for the agency says: “In the video, you can see the cordiality between the members of the group and a charming new side of Secret that comes to light in the wondrous natural landscape of Singapore.”

Secret is planning to begin work on its next album right away.

[News] Girl group Secret turns the heat up in Singapore showcase

Fanservice at its maximum

It was applaudable that throughout the whole concert, the four ladies tried their best to interact and converse with fans in English. Noticeably was Zinger, who took on the role as spokesperson and conversed the most in her accented English. During the interaction time, two lucky fans(one being the youngest girl and the oldest female) were picked to receive a group hug on stage and gifted with a signed album . It was amazing to see a very wide range of fans enjoying the concert.

T.S. Entertainment’s hottest girl group SECRET successfully held their first solo concert in Singapore on 29 March. Organized by Fast Track Events, the concert may have started slightly late but SECRET definitely made up for the delay. With show-stopping performances, ultimate amounts of fanservice and flashing gummy smiles the whole night long, ‘Secrettime’ (fans) were more than delighted.

The four ladies; Hyosung(leader), Zinger, Sunhwa and Jieun kick-started the show on a high note with hit song ‘Poison’ followed by another fast dance track ‘Madonna’. The atmosphere escalates with every song, up to the point where some avid fans burst to tears upon seeing their idols in person. Noticing the tear-stained faces of some fans, Secret were seen signalling for fans to wipe their tears.

SECRET are versatile performers

From a sexy image, the four ladies are able to nicely transit to a girl-next-door concept and perform songs like ‘Shy Boy’ and ‘Starlight Moonlight’ with its cute choreography. They also showed their soft side and vocal talents singing to slow ballads like ‘My Boy’.

SECRET shines during solo

A sure highlight of every idol group concert is the specially prepared solo performances, this time is no different. Zinger transformed into a rockin’ rapper decked in a studded cap and hoodie. She performed her solo track ‘Amazinger’ and did a sexy routine along to ‘Ride It’ by Ciara. A complete 360-degree change, Sunhwa appeared on stage with a bridal veil. As though she stepped out the set of ‘We Got Married’, Sunhwa performed a cute version of Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby Baby’. Proving that SECRET is not just a pretty-face group, Jieun impressed with an english song – Rihanna’s ‘Unfaithful’. Leader Hyosung showed why she is the best and a popular choice as an ideal type with a powerful performance of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’.

SECRET is recovering well

With the recent unfortunate accident, fans and media alike have been posing questions regarding Secret’s health. Worry no more! “I’m ok,” assured Zinger during the concert, quoting her well-being as at 98%.
