Rookie group, A-Prince, comprising of 5 members; Leader Sungwon, Minhyuk, Seungjun, Siyoon and Woobin, had recently melted the heart of hundred A-Lands with their charm at A-Prince Showcase Live in Singapore that was held at DBS Arts Centre.

The showcase took off with performances of “You’re The Only One” and “OH GIRL” continued with covers of DBSK’s songs, “Hug’ and ‘Mirotic”. A-Prince has planned, where the group unveiled three new songs off their upcoming releases, “Mambo”.

Host of this showcase, Ken also taught them some local Singlish phrases such as “chio la” and “swee la”. Following it, the group played a game to find their Ideal Girl. Leader of the group, Sungwon, stated that his ideal girl should be someone who wears glasses with long hair, after describing his ideal girl, he went backstage to prepare for his solo performance. Rest of the members also stated that their ideal girls should be wearing black, skirt, watch and sport shoes. 5 lucky A-Lands were then chosen to go up stage to get their wishes granted. Wishes such as a hug & selca were granted by A-Prince.

After the search for their ideal girls, Sungwon appeared on stage with his solo performance followed by a special dance performance by Minhyuk, Siyoon and Woobin. Promising a uniquely Singapore performance, A-Prince sang 2 English songs, “What Makes You Beautiful” and “One Thing” by One Direction.

A special birthday segment was prepared for the birthday boy, Woobin. 2 videos (1 prepared by the fans, sending their birthday wishes, another was by the A-Prince members themselves greeting both Woobin and Seungjun, whose birthday falls 3 days later) were shown before selected lucky fans appeared on stage with 2 cakes. A-Prince then performed ‘Hello’ as their last song of the day. After leaving the stage for awhile, they appeared again to perform “Gangnam Style” & “Gentleman” as their encore stage.

[News] Former SuperstarK Kang Seungyoon Preparing to Debut!

Training hard and preparing his debut for the last 3 years, Kang Seungyoon has garnered a strong fanbase from his talent contest stint as well as his acting role in MBC sitcom ‘High Kick 3′. His debut mini-album will consist of 6 tracks. Title track ‘Wild And Young’ will be revealed on July 15. Produced by Teddy Park, the rock song is said to be one-of-a-kind, veering away from Teddy’s usual style.

Amongst other news, 2NE1 will be making a reggae comeback with title track ‘Falling In Love’ in July and will be actively releasing songs through October. YG’s new girl group is scheduled for debut in October. As for the new boy group, Papa YG left fans in suspense till tomorrow’s blog post update.

Kang Seungyoon, the former Superstar K contestant who has also signed under YG Entertainment, is set to make his debut in July! YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyun Suk has recently been making blog posts on YG Life website with regards to the upcoming activities of its artistes.

The much-awaited music video of Lee Hyori‘s ‘Going Crazy’ is out! After the teaser video which revealed the beautiful diva disguised as a male, fans were anticipating the final video product. This is her fourth music video off her latest comeback album ‘Monochrome’.

Released on June 19, Lee Hyori is seen with a facial hair and portraying a male figure. Playing the ‘bad boy’ role, Hyori is seen flirting and seducing the female models on set with a cool persona. Halfway through the video, the diva returns donning on a white lingerie gown.

[News] Jang Geun Suk Embarks on a US Tour

 All-rounder artiste Jang Geun Suk recently announced that he will be bringing his “I Just Wanna Have Fun” Tour to the United States as Team H. The duo Team H consists of Jang Geun Suk and Big Brother. Having released 3 albums together, the project group embarked on a tour in Japan(Hiroshima, Kobe, Hokkaido and Chiba) and other Asian countries like Thailand and Taiwan in January 2013.

It will be his first time staging a concert in the United States! The tour will be brought to Los Angeles and San Jose in June.

Dubbed the Asia Prince, Jang Geun Suk has also released his second Japanese album ‘Nature Boy’ a few days ago and celebrated its release with fans during his showcase at Zepp Tokyo Hall.

Fans of k-drama That Winter, The Wind Blows will soon get the opportunity to catch the dashing leading actor, Zo In Sung (Spring Day, Memories in Bali) upclose and personal! The star of the beautifully shot and popular Korean romantic drama series will be on going on a promotional tour to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore – organized by ONE/ONE HD channel.

Leading man Zo In Sung stars opposite Song Hye Kyo (Full House, The World That They Live In), both making their comebacks to TV with this series. That Winter, The Wind Blows is Zo’s first TV drama in eight years since Spring Day in 2005, and first acting project since completing mandatory military service in 2011. 

In That Winter, The Wind Blows, Zo plays Oh Soo, an orphan who gives up on life after losing his first love, gets obsessed with gambling and becomes a con-artist. His next target is Oh Young, played by Song, the sole heiress to a large corporation after tragically losing her parents and her eyesight. He tries to get near Oh Young by pretending to be her long-lost brother and henceforth, these two individuals – isolated in their own ways from the world, begin to understand the meaning of life together.

Zo In Sung’s visit is the fifth promotional tour organized by ONE / ONE HD, following actor Jang Hyuk in January 2011 to promote Midas; Lee Dong Wook and Kim Sun-A in December 2011 for Scent of A Woman; K-pop boy group BTOB in June 2012 to perform in Jakarta; and budding actor Lee Hyun Woo in promotion of To the Beautiful You last October.

‘Prince of Ballads’ Tim Hwang appears in the latest campaign of Samsung Galaxy S4 – ‘Meet A Life Companion’ short film that premiered in Seoul, Korea yesterday.

The short film features Tim as a café owner who communicated with a disappointed Japanese lady customer who stepped into his café one late night through Galaxy S4’s ‘S Translator’.
The two strangers eventually became friends and might even turn into ‘life companions’.
The ‘Meet a Life Companion’ short film is currently screened in major theaters and cable television across Korea.

YG Entertainment has been on a roll, teasing fans and keeping them in utter suspense regarding the upcoming comeback. Who you may ask? We are clueless too!

Having hinted of an upcoming comeback for one of YG’s artiste, fans have been making speculations of all sorts – from the hottest groups 2NE1 and Big Bang, to an artiste’s solo venture or even the debut of Kang Seung Yoon or YG’s next new girl group.

On May 7, another comeback teaser was released. This time featuring 2NE1′s leader CL. A website 2ne1loves has been set up, showcasing a 15-seconds video of CL in high fashion. It could be a hint to a possible 2NE1 comeback, one that has been promised since March/April. Or even, CL’s solo album, since she has been working on it!

As of now, there is no official confirmation. We’ll find out the mystery comeback on May 28, stay tuned!

Fresh out of army, South Korea’s A-list actor, Hyun Bin, is back in the game. The K-drama heartthrob was in Singapore last weekend as part of his Asia Fanmeeting Tour. With back-to-back schedules in other countries, Hyun Bin flew in past midnight and attended an open Press Conference the very next day, April 26 at Bugis+ Mall. Decked in a pin-striped blazer and slick back-combed hairstyle, Hyun Bin was a masterpiece.

Charming fans of all ages, Hyun Bin definitely has the X-Factor. But, the humble man rates himself a mere 30 out of 100 in the ‘charming appeal scale’ and threw back the question to fans. Of course, fans could name a long list of possible charms the man can have; from his smile(not forgetting the dimple!) to his intense stare and gentlemanly aura.

“I’m not as insensitive or selfish as my character in Secret Garden,” explained Hyun Bin. He may not be a romantic, planning special events but he does take extra special care of people he love.

When asked to show some ‘aegyo’ (cuteness), Hyun Bin was hesitant and finally posed with a peace sign for a split second before bursting in embarrassment. The man is definitely not cut-out to be cute, we’ll let him stick to being the charming suave gentleman!

It was surprising to hear his original ambition, before dreaming of becoming an actor. He once considered joining the police force! His alternative career choice if not an actor, would be a policeman then!

During the press conference, Hyun Bin hinted of an upcoming project. It has since been revealed that Hyun Bin will be acting in his first ‘sagaeuk’ (historical) drama as King Jungjo in the ‘King’s Wrath’!

[News] SHINee Releases ‘Why So Serious’ MV!

After much anticipation and wait, SHINee has revealed the sequel to their comeback. The full music video of title track ‘Why So Serious’ was just released at noon on SM Entertainment’s YouTube channel.

Part 2 of their comeback features their third album ‘Why So Serious: The Misconceptions of Me’, a follow-up to ‘Dream Girl’. The album boasts a collaboration with international
famous choreographer Devin Jamieson, who has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson and Usher.

The music video only featured 4 out of 5 members, as main vocalist Kim Jonghyun is still recovering from his earlier injury sustained during an accident.

SHINee will be having their comeback stage on Music Bank today, so stay tuned for the live performance!

The acoustic trio from South Korea, Lunafly will be heading to Singapore for their first ever showcase on May 12! Organized by JNation Entertainment, they are one of the several groups being brought over to perform in Singapore.

Comprising of 3 good-looking members; Yun, Teo and Sam Carter, the group debuted under Nega Network (home to Brown Eyed Girls and Sunny Hill) in September 2012. Prior to debuting, Lunafly made their musical mark by releasing self-composed songs ‘Superhero’ and ‘You Got That Something I Need’ onto iTunes. G-Dragon(Kwon Ji Yong), an acclaimed singer/songwriter/producer/fashion icon and leader of South Korea’s hottest boy group Big Bang, returns with his solo <One Of A Kind> concert tour 4 years since his last. Pop-rock quartet CNBLUE was in Singapore for their second leg of the Blue Moon World Tour 2013. The four members consisting of Jung Yonghwa, Lee Jonghyun, Lee Jung Shin and Kang Minhyuk met with the media during a press conference at Grand Copthorne Hotel. Organized by local promoter One Production, this is the band’s first full-fledged solo concert in Singapore.

[News] Sungha Jung Set To Perform in Singapore

South Korea’s very own YouTube sensation, Sungha Jung will be heading to Singapore on May 25 for yet another solo concert. Organized by Sprout Entertainment, this will be his third time staging a performance in Singapore.

The young 17-year-old guitar prodigy rose to fame via his YouTube videos and has since been travelling the world and performing his heart out. In just five years, he has composed, arranged and performed almost 500 songs across a diverse array of genres. Among others, he has covered songs by well-known artistes like The Beatles, Jason Mraz, Bruno Mars, 2NE1 and BigBang. Known for his boyish charms, the teenager has been viewed more than 400 million times on YouTube.

2013 is a special year for Sungha who has recently released his third album entitled ‘The Duets’. He will also be  having a concert in Phillipines and Malaysia.

For the Singapore stop, fans can expect renditions by your favorite KPop artistes (2NE1, Big Bang and SNSD etc.), in addition to his famous originals and cover arrangements! Sungha Jung will also be accompanied by Agustin Amigo, a solo acoustic guitarist and singer songwriter whose YouTube videos have garnered more than 1.5 million views.

[News] Girl group Secret turns the heat up in Singapore showcase

Fanservice at its maximum

It was applaudable that throughout the whole concert, the four ladies tried their best to interact and converse with fans in English. Noticeably was Zinger, who took on the role as spokesperson and conversed the most in her accented English. During the interaction time, two lucky fans(one being the youngest girl and the oldest female) were picked to receive a group hug on stage and gifted with a signed album . It was amazing to see a very wide range of fans enjoying the concert.

T.S. Entertainment’s hottest girl group SECRET successfully held their first solo concert in Singapore on 29 March. Organized by Fast Track Events, the concert may have started slightly late but SECRET definitely made up for the delay. With show-stopping performances, ultimate amounts of fanservice and flashing gummy smiles the whole night long, ‘Secrettime’ (fans) were more than delighted.

The four ladies; Hyosung(leader), Zinger, Sunhwa and Jieun kick-started the show on a high note with hit song ‘Poison’ followed by another fast dance track ‘Madonna’. The atmosphere escalates with every song, up to the point where some avid fans burst to tears upon seeing their idols in person. Noticing the tear-stained faces of some fans, Secret were seen signalling for fans to wipe their tears.

SECRET are versatile performers

From a sexy image, the four ladies are able to nicely transit to a girl-next-door concept and perform songs like ‘Shy Boy’ and ‘Starlight Moonlight’ with its cute choreography. They also showed their soft side and vocal talents singing to slow ballads like ‘My Boy’.

SECRET shines during solo

A sure highlight of every idol group concert is the specially prepared solo performances, this time is no different. Zinger transformed into a rockin’ rapper decked in a studded cap and hoodie. She performed her solo track ‘Amazinger’ and did a sexy routine along to ‘Ride It’ by Ciara. A complete 360-degree change, Sunhwa appeared on stage with a bridal veil. As though she stepped out the set of ‘We Got Married’, Sunhwa performed a cute version of Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby Baby’. Proving that SECRET is not just a pretty-face group, Jieun impressed with an english song – Rihanna’s ‘Unfaithful’. Leader Hyosung showed why she is the best and a popular choice as an ideal type with a powerful performance of Beyonce’s ‘Crazy In Love’.

SECRET is recovering well

With the recent unfortunate accident, fans and media alike have been posing questions regarding Secret’s health. Worry no more! “I’m ok,” assured Zinger during the concert, quoting her well-being as at 98%.

17 March 2013 was SECRET TIME, as girl group SECRET held a press conference at Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore followed by a fansign session. The busy ladies flew in after performing at the Korean Music Wave in Bangkok, Thailand and will be staging their first full-fledged solo concert in Singapore on 29 March.
The quartet consisting of Leader Hyosung, Zinger, Sunhwa and Jieun were decked in bright matching lace outfits. Despite their back-to-back schedules, the 4 ladies greeted the media with gummy smiles and high energy. Even more so when fans entered the venue for the autograph session.
