[News] Super Junior Kim Kibum to Hold Hong Kong Fan Meeting Promotions this August

Super Junior Kim Kibum will be holding a fan meeting in Hong Kong this August.

He will be leaving for Hong Kong on August 14 and hold a press conference for his 'Kim Kibum Memory of Love in Hong Kong'. He will also make appearances on local TV broadcasts as well.

Kibum has held fan meetings in Bangkok and Thailand last year and plans to hold concerts in Hong Kong and Singapore this September with around 3,000 fans.

Due to the numerous requests by fans, Kim Kibum finally was able to make it Hong Kong. Kibum has spent a lot of time in preparing for the meeting such as a mini concert, handshaking and photo events and a talk session with his fans.

An official stated, "It only 10 minutes for his Thailand fan meeting to sell out. Many different media all around Asia have also been continuously sending requests to interview Kibum as well. Kibum's global popularity could be felt."

His fan meeting at the 'KITEC' in Hong Kong will be on August 8 and in Singapore on August 13.

Singer Rain has postponed his fan meeting that was to take place this weekend.

Cube Entertainment stated today on his official fan page that it has been postponed.

They stated, "There are many factors including the lack of preparation that we decided to postpone the meeting. The new date will be announced soon."

Over thousands of fans had been preparing to meet Rain at the meeting. Now it seems that they will have to wait a bit more to see a glimpse of him.

Rain was officially discharged from the military 3 weeks ago.

Although June 6th is Kim Hyun Joong’s birthday, it was actually the artist who gave a present to his fans.

The singer surprised everyone on his birthday by releasing a single entitled, “The Reason I Live” (aka “Why I’m Alive”). The lovely ballad expresses his appreciation to the fans which have supported him so faithfully over the years.

Although fans had been expecting the release of the singer’s “Tonight” album, most of them were surprised and grateful for the singer’s single released for his birthday.

The singer will perform the song for the first time in public on June 8th at a fan meeting in Seoul. June 8th is also the anniversary of the group ss501, of which Kim Hyun Joong is the leader. Several of the members have made comments lately which hint at a reunion, so some fans are wondering if the rest of the band members will be making a surprise visit at the “2013 KHJ Show- Party People,” since it coincides with the group’s anniversary as well.

The release of the single comes on the heels of a special event KHJ held in Tokyo, where he spent approximately 6 hours shaking the hands of over 8,000 fans. Reports say the singer even showed concern for his fans standing outside in the hot sun and asked them to be escorted inside. Time after time, the talented singer and actor has expressed his gratitude to his fans and continues to show his appreciation by these special events and surprises. Along with his many talents, his humility and true appreciation for his fans continue to earn him more support and respect from Kpop fans around the globe.

 The group BtoB (Seo Eun Gwang, Lee Min Hyuk, Lee Chang Seob, Lim Hyun Sik, Peniel, Jung Il Hoon, and Yook Sung Jae) successfully ended their first official visit to Cambodia, where they stayed for three days and two nights starting on May 19. According to a May 22 report by their agency, Cube Entertainment, the group held a variety of promotional events such as their first fan meeting in Cambodia, titled BtoB Press Play in Cambodia, at Koh Pich Theatre in Phnom Penh.

The agency says, “Having held a promotional event in Thailand, BtoB received great attention from the local press and moved on to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, to hold a fan meeting. About 1,000 people came to the fan meeting, which is an unprecedented number for a rookie group. It is also interesting that almost half of the fans who participated in the fan meeting that day were men. BtoB visited a welfare facility near Phnom Penh on May 20, and left about a hundred children with unforgettable memories by singing songs and distributing snacks to them.”

Leader Seo Eun Gwang gave his impressions, saying, “We were glad to have the opportunity to hold a fan meeting in Cambodia and have a great time with local children. This was our first visit. We hope to have more time to spend together next time.”

BtoB returned to Korea after the fan meetings and volunteer service in Thailand and Cambodia and are going to depart for Malaysia for a concert on May 23.

Actress Park Shin Hye has been traveling all over to meet with her fans.

On May 18, Park Shin Hye held her '2013 Park Shin Hye Asia Tour KISS OF ANGEL in Shanghai' and held her first solo fan meeting in China.

Park Shin Hye had visited China several times for the TGC Girls Collection but had never been to China for her solo event.

On May 17, fans from young teens to older generations were seen waiting for her at the airport in order to catch a glimpse of her. With fans from all ages waiting to see her, it was clear that she was a popular star in China.

After holding several press conferences with the press and media, she held her fan meeting on May 18.

She has been receiving an overflow of love and support from her fans in China through her Taiwan dramas and Korean dramas. During her fan meeting, she played the piano, held a dance performance and other fun stages for her fans for the 2 hours that she had. They also held fun quiz games and talked about cooking as well. She also took some time to answer questions front he fans as well. This was a great way for her to interact and communicate with her fans on a more personal level.

An official commented, "She has shown many different sides to her as she danced in the Philippines, collaborated with a rock team in Japan and played the piano in Shanghai. It is due to her passion and drive that she is able to perform and showcase new and fun performances for her fans."

On the other hand, she is preparing to make a comeback through a new drama.

People are enthusiastic about something Hyun Bin recently said about his thoughts on his career. He joined the army when he was at the peak of his popularity and had his first interview after being discharged on the episode of KBS2′s Entertainment Relay that aired on May 4,after a fan meeting in Shanghai, China.

About the timing of his joining the army, Hyun Bin says, “I planned to join the army then. The drama series Secret Garden was working out well for me, and though I hadn’t intended to reveal it, during the filming of the series, it became known that I had had a physical and an oral exam.”

Asked about whether he was worried about losing popularity because of the break, Hyun Bin says, “I have been concerned about my acting and about fear that I might disappoint people who trust me as an actor. I haven’t thought much about popularity.” This thoughful revelation has had an effect on viewers.

On the interview, Hyun Bin’s appearance drew attention. He looked as good as ever. After the interview aired, people reacted variously: “Hyun Bin is not only handsome but also thoughtful.” “He is a perfect guy.” “Hyun Bin is the best.” “He has become more manly since the army.”
