[News] Yeo Jin Goo Cast for New Sitcom Directed By “High Kick” Director

The new generation Hallyu star Yeo Jin Goo has been confirmed for the fourth sitcom that “High Kick” director Park Byung Wook will be working on!

After receiving much acclaim for playing the younger roles of Kim Soo Hyun and Park Yoo Chun in “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” and “I Miss You,” respectively, Yeo Jin Goo has been confirmed for tvN’s newest sitcom, “Potato Star 2013QR3 That Looks Like A Sweet Potato” (working title).

This sitcom has been garnering attention since it will be Kim Byung Wook PD’s next project after his three “High Kick” installments. While other actors such as Lee Soon Jae, Ha Yeon Soo and Yoon Kwak are considering the project, Yeo Jin Goo was the first to announce his official casting news.

The staff commented, “Yeo Jin Goo will be playing Hong Hye Sung, who dreams of being Korea’s Mark Zuckerberg as a computer programmer,” and “Yeo Jin Goo made many viewers laugh and cry through his past dramas and so we ask that you watch over him to see how he will shine in his first sitcom.”

“Potato Star 2013QR3 That Looks Like A Sweet Potato” will air late in September and will have a total of 120 episodes. The filming for the sitcom will begin in early August and the project is in the process of finalizing its cast.
